ARTIST PROFILE
Yi Ching Chen
Yi Ching has a Masters degree from of Kyoto City University of Arts, Japan and a Professor of Nihon-ga at The Guimet National Museum of Asian Arts, Paris, France. She’s a member of the prestigious Foundation Taylor for Arts in Paris, France.Born in 1975 Yi Ching is best known for her large scale contemporary landscapes garnished with explosions of blossoming flowers. Admitted to the faculty of Fine Art, at the Kyoto City University of Arts in 2002, she was a student of YAMAZAKI Takao, the distinguished master of the Nitten movement.
ARTIST PROFILE
Sally Spens
Sally Spens trained at Goldsmiths’ College in the late 70’s following a textile/fine art degree course, before working in the applied art of textile design. With a background in fashion and interiors Sally has an artisan’s approach to painting and printmaking.Her paintings and prints have been made in parallel to the design work that Sally produces with Kim Bentley in design partnership Bentley & Spens. Now based in London and Cornwall, they collaborate on specific design projects.
