Born: 1970, Philip Melling trained at Camberwell School of Art and the City and Guilds in London, UK. His sculptures are held by collectors nationally and internationally.
The current body of work ‘Elements’ focuses on Earth, Air, Water and Fire, and describes the reaction of when those elements meet. By using a repetitive form of material – flat steel bar – he generates concepts and captures the movement of elemental reactions.
“Predominantly in steel and stainless steel, I design and create unique and bespoke sculpture, furniture and artworks for home, garden and public or business environments.
