Born in 1967 in Genova in a family of Florentine Renaissance painters she followed classical studies in Rome and trained as an illustrator in Rome and Florence before turning to oil painting.
After studying at Heatherley’s School of Fine Art in London she settled in London and received acclaim as a portrait painter and was named runner up in the BP Portrait award in 2010 which led to her inclusion in a show at the National Portrait Gallery and throughout the country. Ilaria received a huge amount of publicity at the time in the national press and throughout the media. In 2011 one of her paintings was included in the prestigious Threadneedle Prize exhibition.
Ilaria is one of the best painters working in oils at the moment in London and through her teaching is gathering a group of young painters around her. Her work is collectable and of investment potential. She shows in London and throughout Italy and her work has been well received in Hong Kong and the USA.
