SILKE SCHOENER is a landscape oil painter whose calm compositions reflect the mystical beauty of North Hessen, Germany. She found her artistic voice after moving from the Rhineland to study in Kassel, later refining her skills in Leipzig, where she discovered the true focus of her work: home.

Her practice centres on staying grounded and connected to nature, creating an intimate, physical relationship with her surroundings. Through this, she explores shared vulnerability—seeing herself reflected in the textures and forms of the natural world.

This connection is embodied in her twenty-year bond with a single wild cherry tree, which became a symbol of peace amid conflict and loss. Its presence continues to guide her back to a quiet, inner stillness.
