PATRICK BARKER

PATRICK BARKER is a British sculptor based in Somerset, best known for his small male figures carved from French limestone.

Barker’s forms display distinct individual gestures and stances, while facially they tend to resemble the artist. This is an expression of the sculptor’s particular response to challenges associated with recognising faces. Individuality is expressed in Barker’s sculptures, not only through the distinct features of the figure, but through the exploration of curious postures which allude to an off-kilter element in the body.
