Born 1982 London, UK Morgan Tipping studied at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London.
Her art school placed a very high value on the students developing skills as draughtsmen and painters and these qualities can be clearly seen in all of Tipping’s work. Her imagination is also fed by her travels especially her time spent on an artist’s residency is Slovenia and her work as an art teacher in India.
“My paintings on ceramic, paper and board signify momentary thoughts or experiences. They can both translate into broader, non-linear narratives or ‘mind-maps’, and provide individual personal memoirs. My paintings refer to this sublime experience, which explores the representation of sensation.”
